Thu, Oct 15 Update

I don’t have anything amazing to post tonight, just general stuff:

I’m exceeding every goal and timeline they have for me here, in terms of physical achievements and stamina. For instance, usually the first time in this contraption pictured that allows one to stand usually makes people pass out in 30 seconds or less.

Today I was in it my first time for 20 minutes+ and played beach ball catch with my PT which usually takes over a week to get to that balance and strength. Letting go of that bar and balancing one’s self takes a lot of focus, confidence and practice when you don’t have lower abdomen control.

I’m not one to brag ? .. I’m just excited for my progress.

My biggest obstacle is my broken collar bone that prevents me from heavy lifting with my left and limits my range of motion.

My discharge date is Tues Nov 3rd.

As that day approaches I’ll keep SF peeps up to date because I’m coming that way for doc appts + grabbing some things from my house + grabbing Chloe and then heading to Fresno for a number of months where my Dad & ‘non-biological mother’ (as she likes to say) can support me & they have a single-story home with no stairs.

My place we’re cleaning up and my roommate is cool with renting it out to friends & family of friends & family. No Craigslist & no Airbnb. More for multi-week or month-long stays. Text / FB msg me if you know someone.

It’s way easier to text me than call given the schedule I have here. I have a minimum of 3 hours of physical work each day, spread out between other visits from docs & other rehab staff.

? is generally under control. That’s nice.

Keep the vision ?, good people. Santa Cruz 70.3 Ironman 2016. We’re going to do this.
